O-iO Oldtimer in Obwalden 2025
...the festival takes place, as always, on Pentecost! Saturday, June 7 & Pentecost Sunday, June 8, 2025.
O-iO is a free Pentecost event for spectators, featuring passenger rides and concerts —perfect for the whole family, especially kids. The goal is to bring the fascination of the classic car scene closer to the public. This year’s event already has over 270 registered classic automobiles, ranging from lovingly maintained everyday classics to exclusive pre-war vintage cars. This diversity once again promises a unique spectacle for all lovers of historic vehicles.
O-iO 2025 – the warm-up for the legendary Klausen Race.
Many historic pre-war racing cars will be on display — the perfect preview for the Klausen Race taking place from September 25 to 27, 2026.
On Saturday, the classic cars can be admired in Sarnen from 9:30 AM to 3:15 PM. Then, they will start a tour on the side roads of Obwalden. Around 5:00 PM, when the O-iO festival with concerts is in full swing, the first vehicles will be back.
On Pentecost Sunday, the historic vehicles will gather in Sarnen starting at 9:00 AM. At 10:00 AM, the journey begins: on two routes – the flat route via Stans and the mountain route over the Ächerlipass – the cars will head to the Eventcenter Seelisberg. There, the classic cars can also be admired once again.
