The Harder than Steel Event is an exclusive driving experience for pre-war vehicles up to the year 1950. The attractive, gently contoured route leads from the Swiss Agricultural Museum in Burgrain/Alberswil directly to the SWISS CLASSIC WORLD exhibition. This extraordinary pre-war rally event will take place on Sunday, 31 May 2026.

The Route

The 97 km route starts at the Swiss Agricultural Museum in Burgrain/Alberswil and takes us through the picturesque towns of Willisau, Fritzenfluh, Wasen, Lüderenalp, and Renggloch, with a short stop in Trubschachen for a light refreshment. The vehicles then drive into SWISS CLASSIC WORLD – Hall 2, where they are presented on stage. Afterwards, the cars are displayed in front of the exhibition halls for visitors. A roadbook has been prepared for the entire route.

Registration & Starting fee

All owners and drivers of pre-war vehicles (built up to 1950) are eligible to participate in the rally. All vehicles must have an official road license and be at least 75 years old.

The entry fee is CHF 75 per vehicle / team. Payment will be made on-site, either in cash or via Twint. Advance payment is not possible. The fee includes the following:

Admission (2x) to the SWISS CLASSIC WORLD exhibition
Souvenir gift
Organization
Welcome coffee, croissants, and rolls
Roadside assistance (Carplanet Galliker Garages Kriens)
Presentation and drive through Hall 2 of the exhibition
Display area at the exhibition

Anmeldung Harde than Steel

Registration for the "Harder than Steel" event is mandatory and binding. If participation in the event is not possible after registration, the organisation must be informed in writing via email at least 3 days before the start date at the following email address: info@swissclassicworld.ch
