The Harder than Steel event is an experiential drive exclusively for pre-war vehicles up to the year 1949, on an attractive and low-traffic route that leads from the outdoor storage area of the Swiss Museum of Transport to the SWISS CLASSIC WORLD trade fair. This extraordinary pre-war rally event will take place on Sunday, June 2, 2024. Registration is possible using the form below:

08:00 Arrival at the outdoor storage facility of the Swiss Museum of Transport in Rain
Parking of vehicles
Registration, handover of participant documents including tickets for the SWISS CLASSIC WORLD
Introduction of vehicles (Speaker)

11:30 Arrival at the exhibition halls in Lucerne (SWISS CLASSIC WORLD)

The Route
The 88-kilometre route starts at the outdoor storage area of the Swiss Museum of Transport and leads us along low-traffic roads past the lakes Baldeggersee, Hallwilersee, and Sempachersee. Then the route takes us through country roads and the Renggloch to Lucerne, to the Allmend and to the SWISS CLASSIC WORLD fair, where the vehicles will be presented to the public in front of the halls.

Registration & Starting fee
All owners and drivers of pre-war vehicles are allowed to take part in the rally. All vehicles must have official road registration and be at least 75 years old.
The entry fee is CHF 30 per vehicle. Payment is made on site in cash or with Twint. Advance payment is not possible. The fee includes the following:
